Q5) How did you attract/address your audience?
To get the response for my film, I uploaded it on a social networking website like Facebook. This gave me a strong feedback and I was able to gather information about my target audience. Below is the screen shot of the feedback given.
Target audiences are those who are interested in watching specific type of film. I found out in my research of the target audience that mostly the teenage girls and only some boys are attracted. Male audience isnt attracted very much as they don’t like the female dominance in the story and plus they want to see a more of action movie. My film mainly targets female audience which is between the age group of 13 to 18. Today the life a teenage girl is surrounded by strong friendship, love, hatred, relationships and break ups. In my film I have also highlighted the element of friendship which plays an important part in every girls life. I have shown two completely opposite girls, one is a chick and the other is the nerd. However they are best friends and they care for each other a lot. For example when Bella (nerd) is writing a book and her best friend Flora (chick) calls her to go for shopping, this shows that Flora is concerned about Bella and she wants her to go out and accompany her. On the other side Bella also cares for Flora, as Bella immediately get ready to go with her on shopping although she was writing her book. This indicates that Bella doesn’t want Flora to go alone. Another event that reflects the idea of friendship is when Bella is lost in a big shopping mall and Flora gets worried. She searches for her and when she finds her, she is very delighted which tells us that Flora really cared about Bella.
Both the characters in my film are near to reality as they have such attributes and personalities from whom my audience can relate to. My audience will be attracted towards the clothes that my chick is wearing and the accessories she would be carrying. They will try to follow such fashion trends. My yunger audience would love to watch a film that is truly based on reality and moves on with real life small problems which the teenagers thinks it to be a big problem.
I think my film had all the elements that are to attract any young girl out there.
